BATINFO

Batinfo is a application that was developed to view the "useful" acpi-information on a ASUS-A1000 computer. So far the application only works on an narrow variety of machines.

The application has no graphical-interface, and I have no intention to give it one. But if you have a ASUS-A1000 (laptop) then perhaps this application is something for you. It gives you information about wheter the lid is open or closed (useful over network, to be sure no-one is sitting by your computer), it alose gives out if the ac-adapter is plugged in, battery remaining in percents and the temperature in celsius.

Future Plans

• Time remaining on battery (if ac- not plugged in)
• Time remaning until battery full (if ac- plugged in, and battery not full)
• A option to get the individual values as returns-values from the application
• A configuration-file (making the application usable to more computers)

Batinfo is aviable at sourceforge, all the latest versions lie there.. so far only a 0.1 Alpha release is out. More will come. (hopefully)
